Risé has more than 15 years of experience practicing estate planning including will preparation, financial power of attorney instrument preparation, healthcare power of attorney instrument preparation and trust agreement preparation. Her practice area includes planning for all types of individuals and families including planning for special needs children and adults and planning for incapacity. Her experience also includes probate and estate administration matters including the representation of executors, administrators and beneficiaries. She has handled many guardianship cases as well.
Prior to joining DBS, Risé practiced law at a well-known Philadelphia law firm as well as in private practice for 10 years.
Throughout her law career, Risé has served on many professional committees. She was co-chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association Probate and Trust Section Elder Law Committee and a co-chair of the Guardianship Manual Committee of the Philadelphia Bar Association. She was also an appointee to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s Elder Law Task Force and co-chaired its Guardian Monitoring Committee. She has served as both an observer and a guest of the Philadelphia Hebrew Benevolent Society, which is the oldest Jewish charitable organization in continuous existence in the U.S. She was a member of the Center City Eruv Corporation, a non-profit organization.
Currently, Risé is chair-elect of the Philadelphia Bar Association Probate and Trust Law Section. She also received a three-year Pennsylvania Supreme Court appointment to serve on the Orphans’ Court Procedural Rules Committee and is a frequent speaker for National Business Institute.
